Dr. Mary Wiechart
Owner & Dentist at Wiechart Dental Smile Studio
Dr. Mary Wiechart was born in North Carolina but moved to Lima, Ohio, at the age of four. As the middle of three sisters, she attended St. Charles Catholic School followed by Lima Central Catholic High School. She went on to study at Xavier University in Cincinnati, where she earned a degree in Natural Sciences with a minor in Theology.
Driven by a love for healthcare and helping others, Dr. Mary was accepted into the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. While there, she enjoyed tutoring fellow students in restorative dentistry and actively participated in several fundraising initiatives. Upon graduation, she returned to her hometown of Lima to begin her dental career.
Soon after, she married Adam Rector, owner of the local BIGGBY COFFEE stores and Menchie's Frozen Yogurt. Together, they live in Shawnee with their four energetic boys. Their home is made even more lively with their two dogs, Beau and Bailey, and a cat named Bernie.
Despite wearing many hats, a dentist, business owner, wife, and mom. Dr. Mary balances her roles with elegance and grace. The creation of Wiechart Dental Smile Studio has been a lifelong dream, and she is thrilled to bring it to life in her community.
Dr. Mary is passionate about education and mentorship, whether it's guiding patients through their dental care or supporting the growth of her team. She believes in the power of collaboration and lifelong learning and feels fortunate to be surrounded by a strong, supportive tribe of family, friends, and coworkers.
Janessa Minch
Front Office Administrator
As a Front Office Administrator, Janessa enjoys communicating and developing relationships with patients. She makes it a point to welcome each patient with a smile and a bubbly demeanor.
Janessa appreciates answering patients’ billing questions and letting them know she cares about more than just financials but about their entire health journey. She gets enthusiastic about helping patients find ways to afford the care they need and deserve. She is thrilled to be part of Dr. Mary’s team where our vision to help educate patients goes beyond the insurance dictation and now into the hands of the patient.
Janessa has been married to Cody for 12 years and has two children: Aliyah and Madilyn. Janessa has lived in Spencerville for 4 years. She enjoys hiking, reading, and working on projects around the house with her family.
Shannon Polser
Registered Dental Hygienist
Shannon Polser is one of our talented Dental Hygienists who started with our office when we first opened. With over 17 years of experience in the dental field, Shannon brings a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and professionalism to her role as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Shannon genuinely looks forward to each patient’s visit as a chance to build lasting relationships and educate patients about their oral health. She’s committed to creating a professional, relatable, and comfortable atmosphere where patients feel at ease and empowered in their dental care.
A graduate of Rhodes State College (Class of 2000), Shannon is also passionate about continuing education and staying up to date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene to provide the very best for her patients.
Shannon has been happily married to her husband Jarrod for 30 years. Together, they have three wonderful children: Logan, Cambree, and Raegan. And one special daughter-in-law, Jackie. Outside of the office in her free time, she enjoys traveling, swimming, and making memories with family and friends. When she’s not in the hygiene chair, you’ll likely find her in the bleachers cheering on her girls during volleyball games.
Shay Schroeder
Registered Dental Hygienist
We’re thrilled to officially welcome Shay Schroeder to Wiechart Dental Smile Studio as our newest Registered Dental Hygienist! Shay brings with her a passion for gentle, soothing dental cleanings and a genuine dedication to creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
Before stepping into this new role, Shay was already an essential part of our team, helping with paperwork, sterilization, charting, and providing support wherever needed. Her commitment to both our patients and team has always stood out, and we’re incredibly grateful that she’s chosen to continue her journey with us in this exciting new position.
When you meet Shay, you’ll quickly notice her hard work, attention to detail, and caring, thorough approach to care. She’s always eager to listen, learn, and lend a helping hand, truly an asset to our office!
Outside of work, you can find her planning for her upcoming wedding. Shay enjoys spoiling her two pups, Myles and Ko. She’s a proud sister and aunt to two nephews and one niece and recently spent part of her summer traveling and participating in a mission trip an experience close to her heart. As she settles into her new role, Shay is excited to find a healthy work-life balance so she can continue doing all the things she loves.
Nikki
Registered Dental Hygienist
Nikki brings incredible energy and compassion to our team as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Her passion goes far beyond oral health; she genuinely cares for each patient as a whole person. Nikki has a unique gift for working with individuals who experience dental anxiety, especially those who carry trauma from past dental experiences. Her calm, empathetic approach helps patients feel safe, heard, and supported during every visit.
Outside the office, Nikki finds joy in her faith, working in her flower beds, and spending intentional time with her family. She and her husband, Dale, are entering a new chapter of life as their children begin exciting journeys: their son Seth is attending Ohio State University to become an anesthesiologist, and their daughter Morgan is headed to the University of Findlay to pursue veterinary medicine.
Nikki enjoys the work-life balance that dentistry offers, especially the perk of no holidays or weekends, which allows her to spend quality time loving on her family. We’re truly blessed to have such a kind-hearted, thoughtful, and dedicated professional on our team.
Holly
Registered Dental Hygienist
Holly wears many hats: mom, educator, and Registered Dental Hygienist, and she brings a calm, confident presence to each role. In addition to caring for patients at our office, Holly shares her expertise with future dental professionals as an instructor at Rhodes State College. She takes pride in being gentle yet thorough and enjoys educating students with the same care that she gives her patients.
Holly is known for her laid-back, go-with-the-flow attitude, which puts patients at ease. Many of them tell us they appreciate her “no-fuss” approach to care.
Outside of work, Holly enjoys the simple things: relaxing at home with a good book, and spending time with her Husband Grant, Son Lawson, and their dog Nelson. Her quiet strength and steady demeanor make her a valued part of our team.
Blaise Kline
Dental Assistant
Blaise Kline has been with Wiechart Dental Smile Studio since the day we opened our doors, and we’re so grateful to have her on our team! As a skilled Dental Assistant, Blaise brings both clinical expertise and an authentic presence to each of her patient visits.
A graduate of McComb High School and Maumee Valley Dental Assisting School, Blaise is passionate about helping patients feel confident in their smiles and comfortable every step of the way. She takes pride in educating patients during their appointments, ensuring they feel informed and at ease.
Blaise has a deep love for the dental field and plans to continue her education in the future. Her favorite part of being a Dental Assistant is the chance to make a real, positive impact on each patient’s experience.
Alivia Lotz
Dental Assistant
Alivia Lotz is a dedicated Dental Assistant here at Wiechart Dental Smile Studio. She’s married to her husband, Joel, and is a proud mother who brings a strong sense of faith, family, and compassion into everything she does.
When she’s not assisting chairside, you’ll find Alivia spending quality time with her loved ones, including her dog Leo and her cat Harry. She has a deep love for buggy riding in Kentucky/Tennessee with her friends, one of her favorite pastimes.
Alivia is the quiet, calm in our office, a steady, reassuring presence who keeps things running smoothly for Dr. Mary. Her passion for dentistry runs deep, and she finds true joy in helping patients feel more confident and comfortable with their smiles.
Darlene Coolidge
As our team continues to grow, we are grateful for staff members who bring calm and comfort to our patients. We are excited to welcome Darlene Coolidge to the Wiechart Dental Smile Studio family!
Darlene has a true passion for self-care—not only in her own life, but also in the way she helps our patients feel cared for, heard, and at ease. She has a gift for making every conversation feel like you’re catching up with a long-lost friend.
Outside the office, Darlene cherishes the memory of her late husband and continues to find strength and joy through her family, friends, and the patients she cares for. She is a proud mother to Brice (Rachel) and Sidney (Luke), and she loves spoiling her pups, Toby and Gigi, along with her grand dogs. She is also the owner of Midwest Commercial Millwork and brings valuable dental knowledge with her to our practice.
In her free time, you’ll often find Darlene relaxing at the lake, shopping, or indulging in her favorite self-care routines.
